The basics of reverse engineering with a FARO ScanArm

February 13, 2014

Re-engineer legacy CAD files as well as update or create as-built documentation with reverse engineering. Users can quickly digitize a part or object by easily scanning its surface.

By scanning with a non-contact FARO® ScanArm, users can capture thousands of points of an existing part and create a fully surfaced model to reproduce the part. The captured points can then be exported to nearly any CAD file format on the market.
