Fragile, complex and free-form surfaces can be captured as a detailed 3D point cloud using the FARO® ScanArm. These point clouds are captured by scanning objects with a laser beam. The ScanArm allows users to quickly perform non-contact 3D inspections with ease. Non-contact 3D scanning can digitize features such as flush and gap that are difficult to inspect using contact methods. Laser scanning is a quick method for verifying many features and dimensions, producing detailed reports with measurable values.
